Calm Practice

Mantra Breath

Pair these calming affirmations/mantras with your breath to find some comfort in your day. You could practice all of them, pick a handful of your favorites, or use one pair on repeat.

Match your inhale and exhale with reading these phrases to yourself:

  • Inhale, my mind is relaxed. Exhale, my body is relaxed.
  • Inhale, breathe in calm. Exhale, breathe out tension.
  • Inhale, relaxing. Exhale, letting go.
  • Inhale, absorbing safety. Exhale, dissolving any need for armoring.
  • Inhale, inviting stillness. Exhale, releasing any need for rushing.
  • Inhale, creating space. Exhale, melt and unwind.
  • Inhale, I welcome expansion. Exhale, I allow my body to soften.
  • Inhale, the courage to be with my experience. Exhale, anything holding me back.
  • Inhale, nourishment and renewal. Exhale, stagnation and stuckness.
  • Inhale, acceptance. Exhale, letting go of judgement.
