How to use your body to soothe your mind.

Calm Practice

Body Taps

Body-tapping is a gentle practice to bring you back to your body when you are feeling spacey.

Gently pat, tap and stroke over your whole body. Tap lightly down each arm, pat down your chest and belly, stroke your fingers down your neck and continue down your body.

You can avoid any areas that feel unsafe or triggering.

Pay attention to the sensations this create in your body. Do not make it too repetitive and do not just go through the motions; stay in tuned with the sensations in your fingertips and on your skin.

When you are finished, pause to feel any echoes: tingles, warmth, body (somatic) sensations, energy and emotions.
