When we need to kick-start our gratitude practice, we can start by thinking of the greatest things that have ever happened to us.
Today, when I am trying to connect with gratitude, I will pick one of the greatest things that ever happened to me such as, the birth of a child, getting a dream job, meeting my best friend, experiencing an amazing trip or concert, or recovering from an illness or injury, and let the memories full me with genuine thankfulness.
