Join me for a Mid Summer Book Club!
After listening to Mel Robbins’ podcast regularly the past month, I just started reading her new book, The Let Them Theory last week. I admit to being a slow reader, but I am loving the book so far! Feel free to read this book at your own pace and comment below sharing your thoughts, opinions, or anything that comes to mind.
The Let Them Theory
By Mel Robbins
A two-part theory: Let Them ⇒ Let Me
When you speak Let Them, you are affirming that you will not allow other people’s behavior to disrupt you and your life.
When you speak Let Me, you take responsibility for your next action. It reflects what you can control: your attitude, your behavior, you values, your needs, your desires, and your response. Let Me highlights self-awareness, compassion, empowerment, and personal responsibility.
The Let Them Theory is about balance; Giving other people the space and grace to live their lives and giving yourself the same.
