Mindful Cup of Tea
A lovely little mindful moment we can weave into our every day lives.
Here’s how!
- Sit in a comfy and cozy chair with a cuppa*.
- Witness your body: the feeling of your back against your seat; your feet gently resting on the floor; the weight of the cup of tea and the feeling of the hot mug warming your hands.
- Take a ling slow inhale, savoring the tea’s aroma.
- Observe all of the visual details of your tea such as, the way the light is bouncing off the liquid, the color, and the texture of the mug.
- Finally, take a sip. Feel the heat on your tongue, embrace the flavor and the way it feels as you swallow.
*Cuppa is British and Australian informal term that refers to a cup of tea, not coffee.
