Thanksgiving is not about a huge turkey and more feast or the grand consumer discounts.
While these things may make us happy, will they bring us lasting fulfillment or temporary pleasure?
Thanksgiving is about the quality time shared with friends and family (fur babies included) counting our blessings and being grateful for all in our lives, no matter how small.
Oftentimes, the large (external) things we can see will only make us happy temporarily, while the seemingly small, little things we feel will make us happy for a lifetime.
Today give a bigger thanks for the support and encouragement from loved ones, good health, access to healthy food and clean water, and our deep inhales and exhales each day of the year rather than your expensive watch, fancy car, or big house.
In addition to the above mentioned, this year I continue to be grateful for the Peloton community (members, instructors, and all others involved in the growth of this Company). I became a Peloton Digital member in May 2021. I fell in love with this community, the openness and support of world-class instructors and members across the globe, and invested in the Bike+ a year later in March 2022.

Peloton offers much more than Cycle classes! Try a full body strength, Barre, Pilates, run, walk, stretch, yoga, or meditation class.

One of my favorite Gratitude Meditations is from Kristin McGee.
I am grateful. I am humble. I am content.

Last year, I created a Gratitude Tree to express my gratitude in a more creative way (than writing in my journal). I ended each day writing a note of one thing (big or small) I am grateful for on a leaf then place it on my tree.
My sweet cat, Cali who l lost this past April due to chronic kidney disease, approved!
How will you express gratitude today, tomorrow, and the days to come?
Gratitude is a practice; not a one and done event.

Every once in a while I check WordPress for “Peloton” posts. I just found this one today. I like to check in to see if the people are still “doing” Peloton. I just followed you on Peloton. I miss Kristen on the platform.
I am sorry about your cat . . . I know it has been months, but the “missing” never goes away.
I love the idea of a gratitude tree. I had done a “goodie jar” for a couple of years, but my husband stopped participating so I stopped. Not a good reason (him not doing it so I stopped) but there it is. The goodie jar was writing something that was “good” putting it in a container then reading off all the good things at the end of the year.
You are so right Gratitude IS a practice! I need to do it as a practice daily. Thanks!

I love connecting with other Peloton members! Through several ups and downs and struggles the past few years, I can say ‘Peloton saved my life.’ Love the insightful, inspiring instructors such as Kristin McGee, Christine d’Ercole, and Emma Lovewell, and love the Peloton and Power Zone Pack community! I miss Kristin on the platform as well, but grateful for her OD classes and following her on IG and Substack.
Thank you for your condolences about my sweet cat, Cali. I miss her every day and feel she is still here watching over her sister, Minimi and myself. I often think she even returned as my new kitten, Tali!
That’s wonderful to hear that you practiced a gratitude jar! I agree, it can be a challenge to maintain at times. Even just adding to it 1x/week, like every Sunday night, helps!
See you on the LB!

I have heard that so often (Peloton save my life). I am so happy it had helped so many people. Yes! I am so happy Kristen’s classes are still on demand! I take one of her 10 min yoga classes almost every day.
Cats are great!
I didn’t have a problem adding to the jar, but it wasn’t fun at the end of the year just reading MY stuff. So I stopped. Bad excuse. I need to get back to it.

I take Kristin’s classes almost every day too! Either a yoga, pilates, or meditation of varying lengths! What’s your LB name (if you don’t mind sharing in the comments)?
I love cats! They can have such different personalities. Inside the Mind of a Cat on Netflix is fascinating.
I hear you. Reading only about ourselves can get boring. Another reason why I often don’t add to a gratitude jar every day.
