Stir-Fried Garlic Bok Choy
- 2 pounds Baby Bok Choy (washed and cut into eighths)
- 5 Garlic Cloves (minced)
- 3 tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 Shallot (minced)
- 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil
- Salt, to taste
Maintaining the integrity of the bok choy, thoroughly wash the vegetable. *Sand or grit may sometimes get into the bulb, so let’s avoid that!
In a wok or large sauce pan, bring the olive oil to a shimmer. Add garlic and shallots sautéing for one (1) minute.
Add bok choy, sesame oil, and two (2) tablespoons water. Cover immediately to let steam (2 – 3 minutes).
Uncover and cook for another 1 – 2 minutes until the stalk is soft.
Serve immediately with soy sauce (or sauce of choice) on the side. Enjoy!
Yields: 4 servings
