TED Talk Tuesday

STOP what you are doing! Assess your body’s posture…

Are you slouching, making  yourself small and inferior?

Are you standing tall, making yourself big and powerful?

In Social Psychologist, Amy Cuddy’s TED Talk, Your Body Language Shapes Who You Are, she discusses how body language affects how other people perceive us, and how we view ourselves. She demonstrates how “power posing,” or standing in a posture eliciting confidence, can impact testosterone and cortisol levels in the brain, increasing our likelihood of success. Even if you do not feel confident, Cuddy encourages you to “fake it until you make it.” You are supposed to be here: “fake it until you become it.”

Tiny tweaks –> BIG changes
