A Cure for Manic Monday

When was the last time you cared for yourself?

How frequently do you engage in a self care ritual?

What does the commonly used, “me-time” mean to you?

To prevent Compassion Fatigue Syndrome, we need to schedule time for ourselves each and every day. Whether it is 10 minutes, 1 hour, or several hours, we need to block-off this time on our calendars to engage in healthy and comforting self care activities.

What is a self care activity?

Examples of self-care activities, include:

  • Taking a warm bath and/or shower
  • Meditation
  • Yoga
  • Progressive Muscle Relaxation
  • Brisk nature walk
  • Journaling
  • Receiving a manicure, pedicure and/or facial
  • Listening to a motivational speaker or reading an inspiring novel

What other self-care activities can you think of?
