Thanksgiving is not about a huge turkey and more feast or the big consumer discounts.
While these (external) things can make us happy, will they bring us long-term happiness or immediate gratification?
Thanksgiving is about the quality time shared with friends and family (fur babies included), counting our blessings and being grateful for all in our lives, no matter how small or simple.
The bigger, external things we see or consume will oftentimes only make us happy temporarily, while the seemingly small, simple things we feel will make us happy for a lifetime.
Today express gratitude for the support from loved ones, good health, access to healthy food and clean water, and our deep inhales and exhales each day of the year rather than your expensive watch, fancy car, or big house.
In addition to the above mentioned, this year I continue to be grateful for the Peloton community (members, instructors, and all others involved in the growth of this Company). I became a Peloton Digital member in May 2021. I fell in love with this community, the openness, support and authenticity of world-class instructors and members across the globe, and invested in the Bike+ a year later in March 2022.
Are you a Peloton member or considering joining this inspiring, kind family?

Peloton offers much more than Cycle classes! Try a full body strength, Barre, Pilates, run, walk, stretch, yoga, or meditation class.
One of my favorite Gratitude Meditations is from Kristin McGee.
I am grateful. I am humble. I am content.

A couple years ago, I created a Gratitude Tree to express my gratitude in a more creative way (than writing in my journal). I ended each day writing a note of one thing (big or small) I am grateful for on a leaf then placed it on my tree. This year I revisited these same gratitude leaves and posted them on my wall in my living room. Each morning this month, as my coffee is brewing, I write a note of one thing I am grateful for and add it to my wall.
My sweet cat, Cali who crossed the rainbow bridge in April 2024 due to chronic kidney disease, approved!
How will you express gratitude today, tomorrow, and the days to come?
Gratitude is a practice; not a one and done event.
