Orange Dark Chocolate Chip Scones
Skip Starbuck’s Scone and Try this Healthier Coffee Pairing Instead!
- 2 cups Blanched Almond Flour (not almond meal)
- ¾ teaspoon Baking Soda
- ½ cup Dark Chocolate Chips
- 1 tablespoon Orange Zest
- 1 large Egg
- 3 tablespoons Honey
In a large bowl, combine almond flour, baking soda, dark chocolate chips, and orange zest. In a smaller bowl, combine egg and honey. Thoroughly, mix wet ingredients into dry ingredients. Form dough into a circle that is about ½-inch thick. Cut dough like a pizza into 8 slices. Using a spatula, transfer slices to a parchment paper lined baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 – 15 minutes. Serve with a naturally sweetened cup of coffee or tea.
