Healthy Ways to Add Sweetness to Your Plate

Easy Fruit Swaps

Instead of… Sugar-sweetened yogurt with fruit.

Try plan yogurt with fresh or frozen fruit.

Instead of… Salad croutons.

Try  a handful of thinly sliced or cubed fruit,

Instead of… Fiber or energy bars or snack chips.

Try fresh whole fruit.

Instead of… A glass of orange juice.

Try an orange, tangerine, or clementine.

Instead of…Syrup on pancakes or  waffles.

Try microwave fresh or frozen berries for a minute to make a topping.

Instead of… Peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

Try substituting apple or banana slices for the jelly.

Instead of…Pie, cake, and other desserts.

Try grilled apples, pears, pineapples, or peaches.
