I adopted my sweet and playful brown tabby on June 26, 2024 at about 2 months old from Seattle Humane. Tali received her name after my soulmate cat, Cali lost her battle with chronic kidney disease on April 4, 2024. Cali was a calico cat and will never be replaced. When I noticed an orange marking on Tali’s foot, I knew Tali was the kitten to bring home from the shelter. This orange marking is my Cali shining through in Tali!

Tali bonded with Cali’s sister, Minimi until Minimi’s passing on June 29, 2025. I continue to observe personality traits of Minimi in Tali such as, independence and introversion. 

As Tali turns 2 years old, I can see some traits of “terrible toes” often observed in toddlers. She can have some destructive tendencies, but I have learned through studying cat behavior that this behavior can mean that she is seeking attention and connection. 

Today is Tali’s day! A special shipment of Churu treats from Chewy is on its way as well as a new interactive toy to explore! 🐱💕
