Happy Caturday ๐Ÿฑ

Minimi with an intense wide-eyed stare and alert ears.

The Eyes ๐Ÿ‘€ of a Cat ๐Ÿฑ

Cats are always watching and learning about their environment and looking at our reactions to things.

One type of cats’ eyes that I’ll share today is a playful, hunting stare.

This type of stare is usually followed by an ambush move or pounce.

Visual Signs

Intense wide-eyed stare at a small moving object or critter.

Alert ears (also see previous post)

Stillness in the front end and movement in the back legs and tail (butt wiggle).

What Your Cat May Be Feeling or Doing

Very interested

Fixated

In a play-hunting mood.

“I’m gonna get you!”

*Tip: Cats have excellent vision for motion, but their eyes have difficulty focusing on things closer than 12 inches (30 centimeters) away.ย
