What challenge do you anticipate this week, related to work, family, or self?
What is your plan for overcoming this obstacle?
How will you feel after you step over this hurdle?
I treated myself to a mindful and therapeutic hike through Carkeek Park’s vast trails this morning. The path was flat, smooth, and calm until faced with a large fallen log disrupting my flow.
Did I stop, turnaround, and return to the familiar path, the path that brought comfort and ease; or did I take a big step over the log and continue along the path, seeking new experiences and challenges?
I chose the later option.
Overcoming our fears and the challenges life tosses our way increases our strength and resiliency and gives us new perspectives about the society we live in today.
Affirmations for Coming Out of Slumps
- Go with the flow like H 2 O.
- Soft is strong.
- I feel relaxed, loose, and flowing.
- I do not need to force; all is evolving according to plan.
- Less is more.
- No need to defend when I yield and blend.
- When I give up control, I get on a roll and play with some soul.
